Dua Lipa cancels concert due to security reasons

Dua Lipa had to make a difficult decision.

The “Don’t Start Now” singer was “heartbroken” as she revealed she canceled her Nov. 9 show in Jakarta, Indonesia, due to fears the stage would be too dangerous to perform on.

“I’m here in your amazing country and ready to perform,” Due wrote in an Instagram story on Nov. 8, “but I’m happy to share that it’s been determined it’s not safe for the show to go ahead due to security .problems with the staging.”

And the 29-year-old – who would take the stage at the Indonesia Arena as part of her Radical Optimism Tour—admitted that many of her fans had been waiting for the concert for a long time.

“It really hurts me that we can’t perform for all of you,” Dua continued, “especially after so long since my last performance in Jakarta.”

The Grammy winner ended his message by assuring fans that they would receive refunds for their tickets.

“I love you all,” she added, “and really can’t wait to be back together in the same room with you singing and dancing our hearts out as soon as possible.”
