‘The Young & The Restless’ Shares First Look at Rebuilt Newman Ranch

SPECIAL: To help celebrate the series’ 13,000th episode, The Young and the Restless has a big surprise for both his fans and Melody Thomas Scott’s Nikki Newman.

As viewers will soon learn, Nikki’s husband, Victor (Eric Braeden) decided to secretly rebuild their original home after it was burned down by crazy Sharon in 2012. Victor’s plan all along was to collapse the completed house on the backs of his unsuspecting wife. (Apparently the Newman farm was so large that the construction was easy to hide).

This surprise reveal will air on CBS on Friday, November 8. In the video above, Scott and a teary-eyed Braeden watch the new set for the first time. Everything, including the comfy middle chair, Nikki’s corner table, and the wooden stairs, has been rearranged the way viewers should remember them.

“The burning of the Newman Ranch was an emotional story for the Newmans, but it wasn’t lost on us that the Newman family and Genoa City would not be the same without Victor and Nikki’s original home,” said Executive Producer and Executive Producer Josh Griffith. Writer. “We’ve been discussing bringing the set back for years, and we’ve been talking about Y&R’s 13,000th anniversary. We decided that his return around the episode would be perfect timing to celebrate both this incredible milestone and Victor and Nikki’s legacy. “I must especially thank Y&R’s art department and stage crew who went above and beyond to create the return of one of Y&R’s most iconic sets.”

The Young and the Restless Today it will celebrate its 13,000th episode on Television City. The air date of the landmark episode is November 13.
