Google Messages allows the user profile name and picture to appear unchanged when you chat with others

If you own an Android device, we’re sure your favorite messaging app might be Google Messages.

It is a good and practical platform that also provides effective support for RCS. The company made a huge effort to get RCS into the hands of so many people and with Apple on board it’s a seamless experience.

Now two main features are incorporated in the latest beta version. The most important thing is to have profiles that appear on different people’s phones as they should be. Google profile names and pictures appear without any changes while you chat with others.

We agree it’s not perfect and there are limitations, you can’t deny it’s a wonderful start. Users still have the option to change your name whenever they want, but as for your profile picture, it will remain the same as whatever you choose. Google added that due to privacy concerns, certain settings will be available that limit user data that is public to those you do not intend to make.

The settings available right now come in three forms. The first is to show your profile to everyone you text, your contact list and also the chance to omit a profile as a whole so that it is not shown to anyone.

In addition, Google hopes to add a new Send for messages as a banner that wasn’t there before, according to 9 to 5G.

It’s not a ton of big changes but it adds more clarity when it comes to chats and is only a beta. If you’re interested, be sure to sign up and participate but understand that beta software doesn’t always go as planned so it might be a little different in the end.

This even means that Google Messages needs to be routinely updated with the latest features like double-tap clicking so that you are way ahead of everyone else on the list.

Google is really at the top of its game in this regard as it offers fast updates to make the user experience that much better. This is proof of just that and we hope to see changes occur with the new beta very soon.
