Reason why Robbie Williams’ wife Ayda stood by him despite triple dumping | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Robbie Williams and Ayda Field’s relationship has been nothing short of turbulent, but the pair have endured both highs and lows.

They tied the knot in 2010 in a beautiful ceremony at Robbie’s home in Mulholland Estates, Beverly Hills, and they now share four children together. Robbie, who has struggled with addiction, has been open about the challenges they’ve faced together.

Meanwhile, Ayda, who starred on Loose Women and joined him on The X Factor, has been by his side through his darkest moments.

Despite their close bond, their relationship has had its rocky moments, with Robbie breaking up with Ayda three times before finally settling down.

In a candid interview with You magazine, Robbie recalled a particularly low point early on in their relationship and revealed that he had slept with his drug dealer the night he met Ayda. The actress, unaware of his struggle with addiction, only discovered this later.

“My drug dealer had just left; I had slept with her and she had left me a bag of drugs,” he admitted. However, Ayda sensed a unique “electricity” between them even before she knew the extent of his affliction, saying, “It was like this silent language, this very strong emotional electric feeling where it was like breathing air for the first time.”

But their initial connection wasn’t enough to keep them together at first. Robbie broke up with Ayda three times and admitted he gave her what he called “intermittent dumps” when he was struggling with addiction. During a breakup, he even lied about going to rehab as a way to end things. Recalling a heartbreaking phone call, Ayda said: “I remember it was 2am and I called him and said, ‘I’m just about to hit the freeway,’ and he says, ‘Are you driving? Call me when you get home. ‘ Then he’s like, ‘I can’t be in a relationship, I have to get better and I can’t be with you, I have to break up with you.’

Ayda continued: “And it was like I understood because I saw that he was in bad shape and I remember thinking, ‘I just want you to get better’.” She also admitted she was “so dazed” and added: “He was my soulmate and then he was gone.”

On their joint podcast, At Home with the Williamses, Ayda opened up further: “You were in a dark place and did some dark things. Obviously, my heart was broken a lot of times, but we got over it.” Robbie replied, “By dark things you mean finish you three times.”

The actress then joked: “It wasn’t just breaking up with me three times, it was more that when you broke up with me you didn’t tell me you broke up with me, you just disappeared and then delivered my stuff in garbage bags.”

“I Houdini-ed you,” Robbie joked.

Ayda added: “You Houdini-ed and then garbage bags came my way about three weeks later. And my car on a flatbed truck with a bill to pay for the flatbed truck.”
