Benoit Badiashile is among the list of centre-backs being monitored by Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli according to reports.

Badiashile was one of a number of signings to arrive at Stamford Bridge in January 2023 as the Blues paid Monaco £35m for his services.

The 23-year-old slipped seamlessly into Graham Potter’s struggling side and looked like he had been playing in the Premier League for years as he put in a string of impressive performances.

Unfortunately, the Frenchman suffered an injury at the end of 2022/2023, which sidelined him for a number of months and severely halted his progress.

Badiashile struggled to get back into the team last season as he returned to fitness, and when given chances he made a number of costly individual errors.

It’s fair to say that the former Monaco man has been nothing like the player he was in his first six months at the club and he now finds himself in the pecking order.

Badiashile has made just one appearance in the Premier League this season and that came as a second-half substitute against Liverpool.

The bulk of his minutes have come in the cup competitions where he has put in decent displays, but his lack of first-team action has seen him linked with a return to France.

But with the January transfer window fast approaching, rumors about Badiashile’s future have started to resurface, although Chelsea recently insisted that The Defender was not for sale and was seen as part of the project moving forward.
