Meridian, ID (CBS2) — Meridian police are investigating a rollover crash that claimed the life of a 28-year-old man.

According to Meridian Police, first responders were dispatched to a rollover crash shortly before 4 p.m. Friday near the intersection of South Meridian Road and West Calderwood Street.

First responders found a Toyota Prius driven by a 28-year-old man and a white truck driven by an 18-year-old man, both vehicles with extensive damage.

The driver of the Prius died from his injuries despite life-saving care from first responders.

The driver of the truck was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Meridian Police closed southbound Meridian Road between Overland Road and East Rosalyn Drive while they investigated and cleared the crash.
