SCDC releases decision on 4 prisoners in separate cases

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) – Arrest warrants have been released Thursday for four South Carolina Department of Correction (SCDC) inmates.

The decisions are for separate cases over the past month, according to SCDC’s inspector general.

The detainees and their charges are listed below, according to information from SCDC:

• Ibn Gadson, 28, attempted murder, assault with a concealed weapon and possession of contraband by a prisoner. Those charges involve stabbing a correctional officer in the head with a homemade knife at Broad River CI.

• Robert Lee Myers Jr., 50, second-degree assault and battery. The charge relates to seriously injuring a fellow inmate during a fight at Evans CI.

• Rickylee Charles Eugene Smith, 36, five counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The charges relate to five child pornography videos found in Smith’s Gmail
account with Broad River CI.

• Carnelius Joseph Floyd, 34, furnishing inmates with contraband and possession of
methamphetamines. The charges involve a contraband package including meth and a cellphone found in his assigned locker at Wateree River CI.

Officials said the inmates will be served with a warrant for their arrest and will be questioned.
