Trail evacuation at a Colorado Springs park after someone was injured

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A trail was evacuated in a popular hiking area in Colorado Springs Friday morning.

At approximately 10:20 a.m., the Colorado Springs Fire Department announced that they had multiple units at Palmer Park for someone injured.

Just before 11:30 a.m. CSFD provided an update.

“The injured party was successfully evacuated from the trail by T10 and Heavy Rescue 17,” CSFD wrote on social media. “One person has been taken to a local hospital in stable condition. Crews are wrapping up and will be back on duty shortly.”
