Northeast Columbia Road closed due to gas leak

COLUMBIA, MO (KMIZ)

A northeast Columbia road was closed Thursday afternoon due to a gas leak in the area.

Columbia firefighters had closed Hanover Boulevard from Hidden Creek Court to Charleston Circle because of the leak.

Firefighters said contractors hit a gas line while installing a fiber optic line.

No injuries were reported. Officials at the scene did not provide a timeline for how long the road would be closed.
