The odor was determined to be a result of Friday’s weather conditions.

The Charleroi Area School District campus was temporarily evacuated Friday morning as a precaution due to the smell of natural gas.

Superintendent Dr. Ed Zelich said the smell was due to weather conditions, explaining that due to atmospheric pressure, the natural gas in the area was not vaporizing as it usually does.
