LUGANSK, November 8 /TASS/. Russian troops advanced in the front-line area of ​​Kupyansk in the Kharkov region, gained control of a forest belt on the outskirts of Kucherovka and captured a railway station and a Ukrainian army base in Petropavlovka, military expert Andrey Marochko told TASS on Friday.

“In the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces have significantly expanded the area under their control in recent days. In their successful advance on the outskirts of Kucherovka, they took over a forest belt previously controlled by Ukrainian armed formations. In Petropavlovka, assault units of the Russian army advanced along Leningatan and took an enemy stronghold at the intersection, says Marochko.

Russian forces also expanded the liberated area north and south of Kruglyakovka and took over Skorostnoi railway station, he specified.
