The Google TV Streamer remote is back in stock for $19.99

After it’s no longer available, the Google TV Streamer remote is finally back in stock.

The new Google TV Streamer remote is largely considered an upgrade over the one that shipped with Chromecast with Google TV, as it has a slightly larger, more convenient physical size, as well as relocated volume buttons. Its biggest upgrade, however, is the new “Magic” button that can be mapped to functions like opening your favorite app or opening the Google Home Panel for smart home controls.

Google confirmed early that this remote controlsold as a replacement for the Streamer, will work with other Google TV devices including Chromecast.

Priced at just $19.99, it’s a nice upgrade to some of the older Google TV devices. However, the remote control has been out of stock for weeks.

Today we finally got to see the Streamer remote come back in stock in the Google Store. Only the “Porcelain” color variant is available, with the “Hazel” option still out of stock at the moment. If you’ve been waiting for the remote to come back, now is the time to act, as we don’t know exactly how long it will be available.

Notably, if you happen to live in one of the cities with a physical Google Store, we’ve noticed that there are usually at least a few remotes in stock there.
