Death investigation underway after morning house fire kills 2 in Elizabethtown

Authorities continue to investigate after two men died in a fire Wednesday morning in Elizabethtown.

Elizabethtown Police Department spokesman Chris Denham said Elizabethtown Fire Department personnel responded to the 500 block of Hennon Lane shortly before 5 a.m. following reports of a house fire.

When the crew entered the home, they found two dead men. Their identities have not yet been determined, Denham said.

At a 10 a.m. news conference, Denham said a man is being interviewed who has information about the incident. Police are calling it a “suspicious death investigation” and “the entire structure is heavily damaged.”
