It’s the end of an era! Live with Kelly and Mark is taking a big step with its annual fan-favorite tradition. For decades, the daytime talk show has gone off the air for Halloween — but it’s about to be a big change with what fans are used to.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos marks its final Halloween episode… in its current studio. Fear not, the Halloween show will continue after this year, just in a new location.

Ripa, who played Hayley Vaughan on All my children (1990–2002, 2010) presenter Stay with Mark Consuelos, who played Mateo Santos on All my children (1995–2002, 2010). The couple plans to go out with a bang Stayaccording to a video promoting the Halloween episode. The campaign, which includes a Only murders in the building theme, includes a montage of some of their past costumes from over the years, including Ricky and Lucy, Sonny and Cher, Barbie and Ken, and other favorites.

Stay has been home to Halloween back in the day and as we do our last Halloween show at our home in nearly four decades and prepare to head to a brand new studio, we bid a warm farewell to a history of horrors,” explains the narrator in the campaign video. “And celebrate a tradition of terror for one last time in our beloved studio. For this one day only, it’s only Halloween in the building.”

A press release for the special holiday episode hints at what to expect, including a “mysterious take on the biggest pop culture moments of the past year,” with “the show’s special nod to ‘Only HALLOWEEN (Murders) in the Building.'” The release notes, “From parodies of famous celebrity couples to groundbreaking sporting events, from iconic Halloween movie moments to wild takes on blockbuster animation and more, the show is packed with intrigue, artful hilarity, elaborate costumes, emotional tricks, treacherous treats and FUN.”

The release adds, “40 incredible costumes, skits, music, dancing, singing and some special surprises and celebrity guests with many shocking twists!”

Live with Kelly and Mark is soon making the move from its Upper West Side studio, where the show has been taped for nearly 40 years, to a new location. Earlier this month, they announced the move to a “fancy schmancy state-of-the-art studio in SoHo.”

During the October 1 episode of StayRipa shared that they left “to tour the new studios because our show is finally moving to a new location,” adding, “But that’s not going to happen for a while.”

She continued, “We’re supposed to be moving downtown to this fancy, state-of-the-art studio in SoHo. SoHo, where we used to live, and this would have been convenient for us. But as soon as we move to the Upper East Side, now we want to move to SoHo. OK, whatever.”

Another daytime show recently announced it’s breaking with Halloween tradition in a huge way — The view opting to skip the costumes this year and focus on the election.
