Holocaust survivor slams Kamala Harris for fueling Trump-Hitler comparisons, says ex-prez is ‘a mensch’

A Holocaust survivor has denounced Vice President Kamala Harris in a Trump campaign video to support claims like before President Donald Trump is a “fascist” similar to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.

“Adolf Hitler invaded Poland when I was nine years old. He murdered my parents and most of my family,” 94-year-old Jerry Wartski says in the clip, obtained exclusively by The Post and set to be released Friday.

“I know more about Hitler than Kamala will ever know in a thousand lifetimes,” adds Wartski, rolling up his shirt sleeves to reveal his Auschwitz prisoner number.

“To accuse President Trump of being like Hitler is the worst thing I’ve ever heard in my 75 years living in the United States,” he continues, adding that Harris “owes my parents and everyone else who was murdered by Hitler an apology. for you repeated this lie.”

Asked by an off-camera questioner why the Jewish people should support Trump, Wartski replies, “Because he’s a mensch.”

“I think President Trump will definitely be good for Israel because everything he’s done so far has been in (its) favor,” he continues, saying he “never double-crossed anybody and he never showed any weakness.”

Wartski, who serves as honorary president of the Israel Heritage Foundation, met with Trump as the Republican candidate marked the anniversary of the October 7 Hamas terror attack to pray at Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson’s Ohel for the release of the remaining hostages held in Gaza.

“Why should President Trump pray for the hostages at Ohel and … spend time with so many?” Wartski asks in the video before answering, “He has always stood with the Jewish people and the state of Israel.”

The video was recorded one year ago on the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust.

Hamas terrorists killed an estimated 1,200 people – including 46 Americans – while kidnapping another 254 civilians and bringing them back to the Gaza Strip, 12 of whom were dual US citizens.

Four of the Americans – Edan Alexander, Keith Siegel, Sagui Dekel-Chen and Omer Neutra – are still being held by the jihadists in Gaza, while another four were released.

A further four – Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Itay Chen, Judy Weinstein and Gad Haggai – are confirmed to have been murdered in captivity.

Trump’s running mate, Ohio GOP Sen. JD Vance, met with Wartski last month and said it was a “great honor” to spend time with the nonagenarian Holocaust survivor.

“It is hard to fathom the courage and strength shown by Jerry and so many others who suffered through the unspeakable devastation of the Holocaust,” Vance said. “I am incredibly grateful to have met him and heard his story.”

Jewish voters still overwhelmingly vote Democrat, although some support has waned as the Harris-Biden administration halted arms shipments to Israel during the war and publicly disagreed with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s tactics.

A recent survey from the Manhattan Institute showed that 67% of Jewish voters plan to vote for Harris while 31% prefer Trump in the 2024 election.

US intelligence agencies have also warned that Israel’s main enemy, Iran, is trying to interfere in the election to prevent the former president from returning to the White House.

Harris, 59, and her campaign have come under fire from Trump, 78, this week after former White House chief of staff and retired Marine General John Kelly accused the former president of praising Hitler while in the Oval Office.

“I invite you to listen and go online to listen to John Kelly … who has told us that Donald Trump said, why — essentially, ‘Why aren’t my generals like Hitler’s, like Hitler,'” the vice president told the voters during a CNN town hall aired to millions of viewers on Wednesday.

“This is a serious, serious matter. And we know who he is. He admires dictators,” she continued.

“The American people deserve to have a president who encourages healthy debate, works across the aisle, isn’t afraid of good ideas wherever they come from, but also upholds certain standards about how we think about role and responsibility, and certainly doesn’t compare ourselves themselves. in a clearly admiring way for Hitler,” she added.

At the start of the event with voters in the swing state of Pennsylvania, Harris also said “yes” when asked directly if Trump was a “fascist.”

Her campaign issued more than a dozen press releases this week further detailing claims Kelly made to the New York Times and Atlantic about his private conversations with Trump — including one in which he remarked that “Hitler did some good things” by having “rebuilt ( Germany) economy.”

“Trump (is) actually the re-enactment of the 1939 Madison Square Garden rally,” failed 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton said on CNN’s “The Source” Thursday night.

“President Franklin Roosevelt was appalled that neo-Nazis, fascists in America were standing up to essentially pledge their support for the kind of government they saw in Germany,” she told anchor Kaitlin Collins.

The Harris campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
