MARICOPA COUNTY, AZ (AZFamily) — The East Valley highway was closed in one direction Friday morning following a serious crash.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a vehicle rolled over on northbound SR 87 near Bush Highway around 3:30 a.m.

While it has been reported that there were serious injuries in the accident, details about the number of injured people and their conditions are not yet known.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the northbound lanes of SR 87 are closed at Bush Highway. There is no estimated time for the highway to reopen.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.

Southbound lanes are not affected.
