St. Paul man accused of killing pregnant wife

Prosecutors, St. He charged a St. Paul man with two counts of murder for shooting his pregnant wife.

The complaint said Stowers called a Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office employee on Saturday and told him he “had shot someone on Acker Street and wanted to turn himself in.” “To date, Stowers has not surrendered to law enforcement.”

Stowers had been on work release from prison and was living in a halfway house; He was given leave on Saturday “to visit his ex-wife,” the complaint said.

A person who heard the gunshots on Saturday reported seeing a large man running away about a minute after the gunshots. The owner of the building said a man he described as stocky was living in Kirkland even though he wasn’t on the lease.

The Ramsey County District Attorney’s Office charged Stowers with premeditated second-degree murder of Kirkland and second-degree murder of an unborn child.
