Parent who repeatedly stabbed primary school principal arrested, police say

SOUTH POINT, Ohio (WSAZ/Gray News) – Authorities in Ohio say a man was arrested for stabbing an elementary school principal.

According to a statement from the South Point Police Department, officers were called to South Point Elementary School on Thursday in reference to a stabbing on campus.

South Point police say principal Bill Christian was stabbed multiple times at the school by a parent later identified as Joshua Collins.

Officers were able to subdue Collins at the scene and first responders assisted the injured principal.

While no child was harmed, Christian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Collins was also taken to an area hospital for injuries to his arm. Once released, he will be booked into the Lawrence County Jail on charges including attempted murder and aggravated assault.
