A building that housed a popular Italian-American club in the south county has been sold.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVE have analyzed real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from Sept. 3-6.

During that time period, Marco Polo Club Inc. of Jamestown sold 1035 and 1027-1029 East Second St., Jamestown to Lipari Holdings, LLC of Jamestown for $120,000.

On its website, the Marco Polo Club says it is “an Italian American club that aims to bring people of all ages together to share their heritage.”

The club was founded in 1938 and incorporated in 1957. It was well known for its spaghetti dinners which it sold to the public once a month. It also regularly rented out its building.

A message to the club was not returned.

from September 3-6, there were five sales that were $250,000 or higher. They are as follows:

– 5822 Magnolia Road, Town of Chautauqua sold for $835,100.

– Unit F., Penn Arms Condominium, 39 Vincent Ave., Chautauqua Institution sold for $692,500.

– 3637 Wall St., North Harmony sold for $675,000.

– 5270 Lakeside Blvd., Pomfret sold for $500,000.

– Lot 23 of The Pines at NorthShore, Town of Chautauqua sold for $364,500.

In total, from September 3-6, there were 69 transactions. The full list of sales higher than $1 is as follows:
