Mike Tyson and Jake Paul are about to face each other in a high-profile matchup. Both Tyson and Paul have encountered controversy in the past, but Tyson seems to be the nicer of the two. The boxing legend’s one comment last month quickly gained attention as he responded to the rumours Diddythe arrest and his involvement with the rapper.

Tyson did not distance himself from Diddy when asked about the rumors. He was shocked that his name had been dragged into the ongoing scandal. To talk to Daily MailTyson expressed his surprise, sharing, “Wait, I’m synonymous with Diddy? Well, that’s cool. I never knew that.” He also wished the disgraced hip-hop mogul the best in a rather bizarre comment.

When asked if he had anything to say about Diddy being incarcerated, Tyson shared, “I wish him the best. In life, I wish him the best.” However, Diddy is not doing his best after he was arrested on September 16 and continues to spend time behind bars. He has been charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Tyson’s comments may have come from his experience of spending three years in prison. He had an arrogant demeanor back in the day and got into legal trouble all the time. In 1992, he was accused of rape and assault by a former beauty pageant contestant, Desiree Washington. He was convicted and sentenced to six years in prison. He got out after serving half the sentence.

Tyson maintains his innocence to this day. He shares his experiences from time to time to spend time in prison. His message of support may have had something to do with his three years of experience.

During his appearance on PBD Podcast last year, Mike Tyson opened up about his relationship with Diddy. When Patrick Bet-David mentioned it “so many people in music and Hollywood feared this guy Diddy”Tyson responded by calling the rapper “Sugar Diddy”.

He told me that he had known Diddy for a long time. He remembered that Diddy had attended his after-parties and that he also attended Diddy’s parties. Tyson shared PBD Podcast:

I’ve only known him for a long time. Fantastic guy. I knew him before he was Diddy and for a long time. When I first became champion, I knew him. I remember him he used to have boxes when he’s at my after parties and stuff. Even when they were having parties.

Tyson’s match with Jake Paul was supposed to happen on July 20, but it was postponed due to Tyson’s health complications. The match was then rescheduled to November 15.
