Former Vice President Mike Pence visited Colorado Christian University

DENVER (KDVR) — Former Vice President Mike Pence and former second lady of the United States, Karen Pence, visited Colorado Christian University on Friday.

Pence visited the school as part of the school’s President’s Speaker Series, a program created to hear about the real-life experiences of Christian luminaries and how they intersect with faith, as they discuss their time in politics, business, the arts and other topics.

The visit included a keynote session with Pence offering his insight into the political realm less than two weeks after Election Day. He also spoke about the importance of leadership, faith and commitment to service.

“Arriving on the CCU campus just 10 days after Election Day, Vice President Pence and his wife, Karen, will be able to provide perspective on the political, cultural and educational landscape,” said Eric Hogue, CCU president. “Vice President Mike Pence’s dedication to leadership, adherence to truth and freedom, and unwavering commitment to the Constitution is commendable. I want our students to hear his story and share in his experience.”

Scholarship presentations honoring Pence’s legacy were also delivered along with breakout sessions from students, faculty and the community.
