Draymond Green reveals the argument between Steph Curry and Steve Kerr

While the Golden State Warriors have a dominant 9-2 record this early season, that doesn’t mean it’s all been easy. Even during a statement win against the Boston Celtics, the Warriors had a heated moment between Steph Curry and Steve Kerr.

During the latest episode of The Draymond Green Show, Green revealed an argument between Steph Curry and Steve Kerr when the Warriors faced the Celtics.

“When I saw that, I just go to Steph and calm him down like, ‘Yeah, we’re good.’ Fuck that. Let’s move on,” Green said. “Just to make sure his head stays in the right place. People react to things in different ways, and you never know what response you’re going to get.”

Hearing Green’s reaction to Curry’s argument is very fascinating. It’s one of the little things Green can do that fans can’t see on the court. As Curry and Kerr argued, Green oversaw the entire situation.

“So I immediately look at it and I see it, and I look at Steph’s reaction and how he reacts to it,” Green said. “If he responds negatively, I’ve already told myself I have to go talk to the coach and make sure the coach understands the reaction, to make sure the coach understands that Steph doesn’t respond well to you yelling at him like that. Let’s just keep an eye on it. So that’s already my mindset because, again, you have to keep an eye on all these things.

Even after the game ended, Green revealed that he watched Curry during the postgame press conference. When Curry revealed he was okay with Kerr’s comments, Green let go of the rope.

“So I’m watching it like a hawk,” Green said. “Then I watch the postgame press conferences. And Steph says, ‘No, I want to be coached like everybody else.’ That statement is consistent with how you continued to play after you and Steve had your moment.”

Moments like these are why Draymond Green is worth the money he gets paid. It’s a responsibility that goes beyond basketball.
