• Thomas Lewis Mattingly, 49, of the 1000 block of West 7th Street was charged Wednesday with theft by unlawful taking or handling of larceny, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (meth) and drug paraphernalia-purchase/possession.

• Ricky L Anderson, 61, address unknown, was charged Wednesday with theft by unlawful taking or shoplifting, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (meth) and drug paraphernalia-purchase/possession.

• Benjamin Ross Johnson, 42, of the 2300 block of N Wintergreen Loop was charged Wednesday with theft by unlawful taking or disposal of a firearm.

• Donald E Fares, 68, of the 1700 block of Breckenridge Street was charged Wednesday with receiving stolen property ($10,000 or more).
