Former NFL offensive lineman Gabe Ikard reveals wife’s miscarriage: ‘We will miss her every day’

Former NFL offensive lineman Gabe Ikard has revealed that his wife, Caroline, suffered a miscarriage on Wednesday night.

Ikard described the traumatic time his family lost their unborn daughter on social media with the caption, “We love you so much baby girl.” See you one day, with a heart and broken heart emojis.

Ikard was a three-time All-American center at Oklahoma before bouncing around with several NFL teams over five seasons.

“My wife experienced abdominal pains late last night and went to (the emergency room),” Ikard wrote on X. “Thankfully her vitals were good and she is doing well… but the doctors could not find our little girl’s heartbeat. ‘

‘We lost her. We are devastated. Please pray for her. We will always wonder what she would have been like and we will miss her every day. we just hope she knows how much we love her.’

“We are struggling to understand why this happened but believe God just needed her now.”
