A couple were caught apparently having sex on the 16th hole at Clarks Beach Golf Club in South Auckland.
The incident, which was posted on Facebook, sparked crude puns and comments from social media users.
The golf club confirmed they were aware of the incident but declined to comment further.

A popular countryside South Auckland golf course has gone viral on social media after a couple who appear to be having sex on one of its fairways were caught in broad daylight.

The cheeky action on hole 16 at Clarks Beach Golf The club was snapped by another golfer, who anonymously posted a picture on Facebook on the community grapevine on Tuesday after having “24 hours to digest that spectacle”.

“Hey Romeo and Juliet, 7.15pm on a Monday, really?” post read.

“I mean, I understand the passion, but couldn’t they have at least picked a little more private place? Like, maybe a bush or something.”
