Food vloggers often share their food adventures with a wide audience, visiting restaurants, filming their meals, and providing reviews to guide others on where to eat. However, this trend can sometimes lead to unexpected interactions between vloggers and restaurant owners. One such incident occurred recently when a food vlogger was refused service at a restaurant after the owner spotted her filming. The owner of the restaurant expressed concern that the vlogger might criticize the food after the visit. A video of their exchange has since been posted online and has attracted a lot of attention from viewers.

The video, posted on X (formerly Twitter), shows a man documenting his experience at a restaurant. After ordering spring rolls and paying in advance, the owner asks him to wait while the food is prepared. However, after a short while, the restaurant owner unexpectedly returns his money and asks him to go to another restaurant. The baffled vlogger questions the decision, and the visibly disappointed owner explains that he realized the vlogger was being filmed. The restaurant’s owner expressed concern that the vlogger might offer a positive review on camera, but then criticized the food, potentially damaging the restaurant’s reputation.

“Ana tum logo se dur rehta hun, mera apna restaurant bohat badia hai bhai. Mujhko nhi chaiye tumhare jaise vloggeri (I stay away from people like you. My restaurant is doing great, bro. I don’t need vloggers like you),” he can be heard saying in the video.

Take a look at the video here:

While the images caused great resonance on the internet, many social media users also shared their opinions.

One user said, “Full support to the tradesmen on this issue. “No one is forcing anyone to eat there, but do not harm anyone’s business, especially at a time when there is zero government support for anything.”

Another added: “He offered her a nice plate of spring rolls. But what the shop owner said was catchy. Here you will make a nice video, then edit it and tell the public something else. If food vloggers are doing this, it’s not right.”

One person pointed out that the vlogger problem is increasing and said, “This is good. This gang, which plunders poor food vendors in the name of making videos, needs to be brought down. They are proliferating like mushrooms in small cities and towns. They forcefully take videos. They eat for free. “They also extort money.”

Another added: “I wish every shop owner acted the same way.”

The video has garnered more than 6 lakh views so far.
